STEP 1.

STRETCH & STRENGTHEN your hamstrings.

"Come into low lunge with your back knee on the floor. Shift your hips back and straighten your front leg. Then, fold down over your front leg."

STEP 2.

STRETCH & STRENGTHEN your hip flexors.

"Come into a low lunge with your back knee on the floor. Bend your back knee & lift your low leg and foot up away from the floor. Clasp your foot with the hand on the same side, and draw your heel in toward your hip."

STEP 3.

KEEP YOUR LEGS ENGAGED as you stretch them apart into splits.

"Come into low lunge with your back knee on the floor. Shift your hips back and straighten your front leg. Keeping your legs engaged, slowly stretch your front heel forward a couple inches at a time."

AND FINALLY, PUT IT ALL TOGETHER!

QUOTE and a QUESTION for INSPIRATION

QUOTE.

by Viktor Frankl, professor of neurology and psychiatry at the University of Vienna Medical School and founder of what has come to be called the Third Viennese School of Psychotherapy

"Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.

  • Source: Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl

QUESTION.

Is there a circumstance that you are facing right now that could benefit from a shift in attitude? How might you choose your own way?
