PADMASANA (Lotus Pose) TUTORIAL

STEP 1.
OPEN UP your hips.
"Lie down on your back, and come into a figure 4 shape with your legs. Lift your legs up, and use your arms to bring your legs into your chest and hold for several breaths in the stretch."
STEP 2.
BEND your knees COMPLETELY.
"As you bring the first leg in for lotus pose, make sure you bend the knee completely so there is no space between the calf muscles and the back of the thigh. Then slide your foot up toward the opposite hip crease."
STEP 3.
PRESS through the pinky edges of your feet.
"Once both legs are in position, press actively through the pinky edges of your feet into the inner thighs."
