STEP 1.

FIND a strong bakasana (crow/crane pose).

"Come into a squat. Hook your arms in front of your shins. Lift your hips up and lean forward. Lift your feet off the floor and bring them together."

STEP 2.

STRETCH your hips

"Bend your knees. Lift one leg up, externally rotate your hip and hook your ankle over the top of your thigh coming into a figure 4 shape. Fold forward and place your hands on blocks or on the floor."

STEP 3.

LEAN forward and KICK up.

"From the standing figure 4 stretch, hook your arms across the fronts of your shins and place your hands on the floor. Lean forward, lift your back foot off the floor, then kick it back and up to straighten it."

AND FINALLY, PUT IT ALL TOGETHER!
