STEP 1.

Set up your foundation - hand placement and activation.

"Press your fingertips down into the floor like you're releasing claws. It should make your hands and forearms feel strong. You should feel fierce."

STEP 2.

Find your core strength.

"Practice puffing your spine up between your shoulder blades on hands and knees. This activates the core muscles and strengthens your shoulders."

STEP 3.

Finding the balancing point.

"Lean forward until your elbows stack over your wrists. You should feel your weight come into your hands and off your feet."

AND FINALLY, PUT IT ALL TOGETHER!

QUOTE and a QUESTION for INSPIRATION

QUOTE.

by Joanna Macy, who is a deep ecologist, Buddhist scholar, author and founder of the Work that Reconnects:

" Rather than viewing our self as a fixed thing with characteristics that can’t be changed, we can think of ourselves as a flow of becoming.”

  • Source: Active Hope: How to Face the Mess We’re in without Going Crazy by Joanna Macy & Chris Johnstone

QUESTION.

Who are you becoming? Are you in alignment with who you want to become? If so, which daily practice(s) help to support this alignment? If not, which practice(s) can aid you in redirecting the flow?
